
Many people enjoyed Froglife's pond dipping session. Despite the dry weather they managed to find a good selection of insects, crustaceans, annelids and amphibians making their home in the ponds in the meadow.

No adult newts were found. Adults typically leave the water after the breeding season and move to damp habitats on land, including rough grassland, woodland and hedgerows.
