Planting up the Jenny's Wood ponds

Volunteers planting up the restored ponds at Jenny's Wood

Rachel and Abby from Froglife supplied plants for the restored ponds. It started as a misty, murky morning, not great for wading into cold water, but the volunteers got stuck in.

Special thanks go to Martin, who waded into the deeper sections to position plants secured with stones. The team also built a hibernaculum, a shelter for amphibians and reptiles, and we can now watch to see what wildlife moves into the ponds as the seasons change.
