Hospital charity bridges the gap to enable staff and patients to enjoy local nature reserve

The Boston Woods Trust collaborated on a bridge connecting Pilgrim Hospital with Dion's Wood Nature Reserve. The access route was created by bridging an existing waterway and building a pathway to link with the reserve's existing paths, with a significant proportion of the cost funded by the charity.

Boston Woods Trust, Lincolnshire

The Trust manages 60 hectares of woodland across three sites around Boston. Founded in 2001 by Adrian Isaac, it took over management of Woodland Trust-planted woodland and has since expanded, aiming to create a 7-mile band of woodland around the town.
