The Boston Woods Trust celebrates Adrian Isaac's recognition in the King's Birthday Honours, where he has been awarded the British Empire Medal for "services to the environment".
Since 2001, Adrian has been the driving force behind the effort to "make the dream a reality": an accessible arc of woods and parkland encircling the east of Boston. Over roughly 25 years the project has grown from Westgate Wood to include Sir Joseph Banks Country Park, Fenside Woods and Dion's Wood Nature Reserve.
Adrian has built a strong team of volunteers who are equipped to carry on his environmental work and legacy.
Congratulations, Adrian: a very worthy recipient and an inspiration to us all.
